Again...

Tue May 20, 2008, 3:13 AM
I got this one from secret-potter-addict, just like the other one. Same basic principle. I use an iPod set on repeat to answer the questions. I removed all the non-songs from the answers, though. I have some audio books on it, and I don't think they count.

Here goes:

How am I feeling today?
I want to be in love – Melissa Etheridge (Yup. And I AM. Voot.)

Will I get far in life?
Double, double, toil and trouble – Harry Potter Soundtrack (To Hogwarts, then?)

How do my friends see me?
One of a Kind – Placebo (Well, that’s nice… I hope…;)

Where will I get married?
I can’t do it alone – Chicago the musical (I Chicago, then? And of course I can’t get married alone, DUH!)

What is my best friend's theme song?
American Psycho - My Ruin (WHAT?! I think my iPod has a weird sense of humour...)

What is the story of my life?
Blue – Joni Mitchell (Well, it’s neither sad nor happy, but a bit of both, so that’s alright.)

What is/was highschool like?
Pure Morning – Placebo (“A friend in need’s a friend indeed – a friend who’s dressed in leather” :D Yup, that’s very true.)

How can I get ahead in life?
I just can’t wait to be king – Lion King (Hah, yes. I’m going to be KING, you suckers!)

What is the best thing about me?
Come away with me – Norah Jones (Escapism? Or?)

How is today going to be?
A fish called Prince – Deine Lakaien (Ooookay…;) )

What is in store for this weekend?
Red right hand - Nick Cave (Okay, I'm meeting with the devil... Oh, I get it, I'll probably meet Jonathan...)

What song describes my parents?
That I would be good – Alanis Morisette (Well, that’s very suitable. At least when it’s about my mother.)

To describe my grandparents?
Villanelle for out Time – Leonard Cohen (A hopeful message about the future. So wherever they are, they are part of something amazing.)

How is my life going?
Don’t go home with your hard-on – Leonard Cohen (*laughs myself out of my chair* I’ll remember that.)

What song will they play at my funeral?
The bitter end – Placebo (Hah. Maybe not.)

How does the world see me?
Avalanche – Leonard Cohen (“I myself am a pedestal for this ugly hump at which you stare”. Okay, I’m a bitter hunchback. Hoo-haah!)

Will I have a happy life?
I’m your man – Leonard Cohen, again (I’ll take that as a yes. And as a confirmation of that my girlfriend and I will be together for quite a while… :) )

What do my friends really think of me?
In the arms of an angel – Sarah McLachlan (Well, that’s sweet.)

Do people secretly lust after me?
Black Velvet – Alannah Myles (I’ll definitely take that as a yes :P )

How can I make myself happy?
The Ballad of Sweeney Todd – Sweeney Todd the musical (By killing people and putting them in pies?)

What should I do with my life?
Nine million bicycles – Katie Melua (Love people as much as I can, I suppose.)

Will I ever have children?
Pity the Child – Chess (Well, THAT’s nice to hear… *glares at iPod*)

What is some good advice for me?
Tower of Song, Leonard Cohen (“They don’t let a woman kill you, not in the Tower of Song.” I’ll remember that ;) )

How will I be remembered?
I shot the sheriff – Bob Marley (I sincerely hope not…;)

What is my signature dancing song?
Papa t’es plus dans l’coup – Huit Femmes (A happy French pop song a la the -50:s. That works.)

What do I think my current theme song is?
It’s real for us – Split Seven Ways (Hah, well. What can I say? I’m a Harry Potter nerd.)

What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
She – Diary of dreams (Oooh, I'm dark and mysterious... "She offers traitors a lap to feel at home." Haha!)

What type of men/women do you like?
She is my sin – Nightwish (Lots of lust, then?)

Well, wow. My life is so amazingly bollocksed up right now, and I wish I could be unhappy about it. I'm scared, angry with myself and feeling guilty as hell, but I'm also deleriously happy.

Nobody ever said falling i love was easy - rather the contrary - but I don't have the mental/emotional stability for this kind of thing. Still... Well, I'll make the best of it...

  • Mood: Yearning
  • Listening to: Placebo - Sleeping with ghosts

If my life was a movie

So, use the shuffle function on your iPod and fill in the songs in the order they turn up. It’s not rocket science. I am ordering Praeclaro to do this, if she ever reads my journal.

Opening Credits: Excuse me Mr. – No Doubt

Waking Up: Bushel and a peck – Guys and Dolls (Haha. Perky little bugger, me.)

First Day At School: Lithium - Nirvana

Falling In Love: Meet me in the dark – Melissa Etheridge (Okay, that’s just creepy. And unpleasant. That’s a SAD song.)

Losing Virginity: Lady Rosenred – Lake of Tears

Fight Song: Deliver us from free will – The Ark (*falls over laughing* Look, mom! I’m a Death Eater!)

Breaking Up: Acceptable losses – Lisa Miskovsky (OMG. My favourite song ever. It might not fit the ‘breaking up’ theme, but still.)

Prom: Teenagers – My Chemical Romance (*is now officially dead from laughing so hard*)

Life: Boy named Sue – Johnny Cash (I’m the boy named Sue O.o)

Mental Breakdown: Explode – The Cardigans (A really fitting song. Wow.)

Driving: The bitter end - Placebo

Flashback: Surgery – Jack off Jill (Oookay… Cheerful me.)

Getting Back Together: Both sides now – Joni Mitchell (Oh. Oh. *dies again, this time from pure love*)

Wedding: Leather – Tori Amos (Ha! That’s all I’ve got to say. HA!)

Birth of Child: No one mourns the wicked – Wicked (I’m obviously going to give birth to a green child.)

Final Battle: Catwoman – Shakespeare’s Sisters

Death Scene: High on life – Rasputina (Can anyone say irony?)

Funeral Song: For now – Avenue Q (Okay, that’s just stupid.)

End Credits: Last year’s song – Lisa Miskovsky (Again. But who’s complaining? I love her.)
